A History of Service
First Presbyterian has a long history of service in the name of Christ to our community and world. There are many ways to put your faith into action by volunteering to serve. Here are some of the mission opportunities available.
midwest food bank
On the 2nd Monday of each month, a team of volunteers meets at the Food Bank to help in whatever way is needed that month. Wear your First Presbyterian t-shirt and join us from 2-4 pm each 2nd Monday.
smart lunch smart kid
Every Wednesday night during the summer break, we meet at the church to pack lunches and books for children in our community and then deliver them on Thursdays. Come and join us!
fayette samaritans
We collect food throughout the year for Fayette Samaritans.
Seasonal Activities
We also participate in several events throughout the year such as The Hunger Walk, The Alzheimer’s Walk, The Rotary Dragon Boat Race, The Souper Bowl of Caring, Stop Hunger Now, and adopting families for Christmas.
